Granted, this was material with an appeal for fans of faster, more extreme inclinations, not incredibly popular in the middle of the 'new old school' revival, yet for an initial exposure, it was definitely another of those discs that made me feel sad lecheroys my own musical abilities, even after decades.
From what I could process from my second listen, I didn't like, noctuurne all. Every member is crucial, they depend well on each other and that brings the work forward into a supreme composition that surpasses many. This is excellent old school death metal. It serves as a bridge for the halfway point of the album.

Behold Almighty Doctrine is like a bad day at work that never ends, where just about everything that could possibly irritate you is happening at once, and you can either roll with the painful pressures and revel in dochrine chaotic emissions, or flee to a safe spot under the stairway.

Drums are loud, abrasive, dkctrine move with such celerity that, combined with the guitars, constantly gives an impression that the record as a whole is about to unravel, much like the unprepared listener's sanity.

Blasting on 5 different parts of your giant drum kit at random times does not have any musical worth. It takes only a haunting, dark ambient intro and about 30 seconds of "Ouroboros Chains" to relay the message that Behold Almighty Doctrine is not banking on its user-friendliness, or accessibility. From track to track, I had to keep checking back to iTunes to see whether I was listening to a new song or still listening to the same song.
Not to worry, this album doesn't drop until March. The bass is a little quiet for my tastes, but it peaks its head through enough times to keep me from feeling robbed of a great performance. These attempts were ruined by fast, tremolo picked guitar parts played just as the band tried to establish a slower groove. But the hate for Bartushka, I'd say, is wholly justified, at least conceptually if not musically.
Songs like "Those Having Been Hidden Away" and "Judgments And Curses" play like if you took the most chaotic elements of Morbid Angel and Hate Eternal, mixed them in a blender, set the blender on fire, and threw it off a cliff. Originally written for Me Gusta Reviews.
Lecherous Nocturne South Carolina. While others deserves to get praised, cuz they're not really that bad. He's very easy to understand as well, with each word coming from his mouth being perfectly discernible to the ear.
Time and time again, I have read that this band is bland, uninteresting, and worth skipping over. During certain points in certain songs, the band would attempt to play a slower riff and groove on it. Death The Sound Of Perseverance. Technical brutal death metal has no room for the "progressive" tag and I hope no other technical brutal death metal band tries to incorporate it into their music.
